Privacy Policy

This page explains what Satyam Machinery collects on this website (satyammachinery.com), why, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to correct or delete it. It covers this website only — not phone calls or WhatsApp messages, which are covered by your carrier's and WhatsApp's own privacy terms.

What we collect

When you fill in the enquiry form, on the Contact page or a product page:

Your name and mobile number (required)
Your email address, if you choose to give it
Your area, and what you're enquiring about — a product category, and the exact model if you used a product page's Enquire button
What the job is for and what kind of customer you are, if you tell us
Anything you type in the message box

Captured automatically when you submit the form:

The page you enquired from, and the site that referred you, if any
Campaign tags (UTM parameters) if you arrived from a link or ad that carries them
The country your request came from, reported to us by Cloudflare, our hosting provider — not something you enter
The date and time

Just from browsing the site, without submitting anything:

Anonymised usage data from Google Analytics — see "Analytics and cookies" below
On the Contact page, the embedded Google Map loads content directly from Google, which may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry — by phone, WhatsApp or email, whichever you gave us — normally the same day
To see which products and areas are in demand, from enquiries as a whole, so we can plan stock
To keep a record of enquiries for our own business reporting
Google Analytics helps us see which pages are useful and where visitors come from, in aggregate — we do not use it to identify you personally

Where it's stored, and who can see it

Every enquiry is saved to a database (Cloudflare D1) and emailed to our shop's own inbox, sent through an email delivery service called Resend. Cloudflare and Resend can access this data only to store or deliver it on our behalf, under their own security terms — neither uses it for their own purposes.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing. Only Satyam Machinery staff read enquiries, to reply to them.

How long we keep it

We currently keep enquiry records for as long as they are useful to us — mainly to reply to you and for our own sales records — and we do not yet have an automatic deletion schedule. If you ask us to delete your details (see "Your rights" below), we will, unless we are required to keep a record by law.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed and general location.

We have not yet added a cookie consent banner. Until we do, Analytics runs by default, and advertising signals stay switched off — we don't use your data for ads, and Google Consent Mode is configured so ad-related storage stays denied. You can block cookies in your own browser at any time. Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy covers what Google itself does with Analytics and Maps data.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

tell you what personal data we hold about you,
correct it, if it's wrong or out of date,
delete it, and
withdraw any consent you've given, at any time.

To ask, use the contact details below. We'll respond and act on a reasonable request without charging you. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also raise it with India's Data Protection Board once it is operational.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, once a cookie banner or a reports page is added. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
